Thiruchitrambalam is a Tamil romantic family comedy drama film written and directed by Mithran R Jawahar of Yaaradi Nee Mohini fame. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, the film stars Dhanush in the titular role alongside Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Raashii Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles. The film's music and score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK.
The makers of the film recently released the full video song of Megham Karukatha and it has already garnered over 365,000 views since its release. The song was an instant hit among fans and critics alike as well as the general public for its jazzy tunes, catchy lyrics and fun dance steps that anybody could pick up - which they did as the song is widely trending for its usage in making TikTok videos and Instagram reels. The song is a favorite among numerous people who can now catch the song whenever they want online.
It is not just the video song that is creating a buzz now but its lyric video by itself was a huge hit among those who were tuning in to listen to it as it ended up garnering over 47 million views since the day of its release (July 15). Thiruchitrambalam was released theatrically on August 18 to highly positive reviews from fans and critics alike with praise for performances of the cast and for its music. This fun family entertainer which did well among people of all age groups ended by being a critical as well as a commercial success at the box office.
