Indian 2 is an upcoming Tamil vigilante action film directed by S. Shankar. It is intended to be the sequel to his 1996 film Indian which was of the same genre. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah and Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner of Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies respectively, the film stars Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan reprising his role of Senapathy from the predecessor film. It additionally features actors such as Gulshan Grover, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles.
Today, we got a glimpse into the film's status and it is a great one. Kamal's personal costume designer for the film, Amritha Ram, shared the current development of the highly anticipated flick. She took to her official Instagram handle and shared some images which gives us, the audience, an idea of what is happening with the film at the moment. One image she put up was taken outside as a field of grass is seen. This lets us know that some outdoor shoot is currently taking place. The other image is that of the Universal Actor himself in which he is seen sitting on the hair and makeup chair of his trailer awaiting prep.
The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography done by Ravi Varman and Rathnavelu and editing performed by A. Sreekar Prasad. The shooting for the film only recently started again earlier this August. The filming was shut down for quite some time due to an unfortunate fire breaking out which had claimed the life of 3. Following that, due to some financial constraints and conflict of opinions, the shooting for the film came to a halt.
