Indian Govt makes plans to bring back citizens stranded abroad from May 7th!
The impact created by the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus has been multifold and it has been affecting people on different levels! The sudden outbreak and rapid spread of this deadly virus has caused all countries to close their borders and also suspend all forms of travel to and from their nations! This has made many people stranded outside of their native places, due to travel or for work reasons. Many governments have been trying hard to help their citizens return to their own places and extradition has been going on actively but cautiously! Now, the Indian Government has announced that it would be making plans to bring back our citizens stranded in other countries!
The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a Press Release, stating that it would be chartering special commercial flights which were previously unscheduled and also using naval ships to bring back our citizens who have unfortunately gotten stranded in foreign lands. These efforts would commence from the 7th of May, in a phased manner, after due consultation with the authorities in foreign nations! A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared for this and the Indian Embassies & High Commissions are currently preparing a list of distressed Indian citizens, in their respective nations. Medical symptoms of all the people wishing to travel would be checked before they begin their journey and only asymptomatic people would be allowed to travel! During these journeys, all the people would be expected to follow the health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Civil Aviation!
