Leading Tamil actor Suriya is riding the high wave after the stupendous response to his Etharkkum Thunindhavan directed by Pandiraj under the Sun Pictures banner, which has turned out to be a phenomenal box office success. The star, who is currently attached to as many as five high-profile upcoming projects, will be collaborating with National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran for their Vaadivaasal being produced under blockbuster producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner and will also feature music by G. V. Prakash Kumar. That being said, Suriya on Thursday appeared in a special video and conveyed his Tamil New Year wishes, while also being seen walking alongside a bull, which will be featured in Vaadivaasal. 

The story of Vaadivaasal will be based on acclaimed Tamil writer Si Su Sellappa's novel of the same name and the plot will revolve extensively around Suriya and the bull. According to reports, the Jai Bhim actor will be spending a lot of time with the bull so that each of them gets accustomed to one another before they begin filming their portions in the upcoming action drama, which is expected to kick off production in the months ahead. Recently, a test shoot for Vaadivaasal took place, which saw Suriya, Vetri Maaran and Kalaipuli Thanu participate, while hundreds of junior artistes too were featured amidst a jallikattu backdrop.
