Mili is an upcoming Hindi survival thriller film written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Mathukutty Xavier. Produced by Boney Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects and Zee Studios, the film stars his daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role with Vicky Kaushal's brother Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in supporting roles. The film music is composed by Isaipuyal A. R. Rahman with the song's lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. Mili is all set for a theatrical release on 4 November 2022.
With one trailer already released and igniting the hype around the film, the makers have yet again dropped another trailer just 2 days before the film's release in order to keep that aforementioned hype up and running. The 1 minute 6 seconds long clip opens with the question - “What happens if you are stuck in a freezer with sub-zero temperature?”
In this trailer we see Mili fighting for her life in a freezer while her father and boyfriend are seen relentlessly looking for her as she desperately gasps for breath locked inside the freezer. We see her wrap herself with duct tape and cling wrap to banging trays on the door while she tries her best to seek help. With no information on her whereabouts, her father and boyfriend also have to deal with police officers who take a jibe at their situation.
Janhvi Kapoor recently shared that working on the film took a toll not only on her body but also her mind. The film serves as the official remake of the director's own 2019 Malayalam film Helen which follows a woman stuck in a freezer fighting to stay alive.
