Leading Tamil actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has opened up on the physical challenges she experienced while shooting for Citadel: Honey Bunny in the latest episode of her health podcast. During her conversation with her co-host and wellness coach, Alkesh Sharotri, the popular star explained how it was not easy shooting for the upcoming Amazon Prime web series. Speaking about the difficulties while shooting during her myositis diagnosis, Samantha said, "I had to finish Kushi, and I had to shoot for Citadel, which is extremely physical. There’s a lot of action involved. So, it was very strenuous."
Samantha also went on to share about how she would experience spasms throughout the shooting of Citadel: Honey Bunny and had also passed out at one occasion. She said, "Many, many calls were made to you (Alkesh) in the middle of shoot - she’s having a spasm, she’s cramping." Samantha also spoke about filming an action sequence by saying, "I passed out and I had a concussion." Citadel: Honey Bunny is billed to be the Indian chapter of the 2023 American spy action thriller web series Citadel, which starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in the lead roles.
Announced to premiere on Amazon Prime this year, Citadel: Honey Bunny has been written and directed by Raj & DK and Sita R Menon, and has Samantha Ruth Prabhu cast alongside Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, with Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem and Emma Canning also set to make appearances in key roles. Samantha had earlier informed about taking a break from working after revealing that she had been diagnosed with myositis in 2022. The actress recently announced returning back to working again by hosting her health podcast, while also promoting Citadel: Honey Bunny at the recently-held Amazon Prime event in Mumbai.
