Director Vasanth's Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal is all set to hit screens soon. Meanwhile we hear that director-actor Cheran will be seen in a completely different avatar in this flick. “People usually see me as a very serious person. A guy who is easily angered, who gets worked up over the smallest things! But Vasanth sir has given me a character that will change that image. I play this happy, cheerful, ever-smiling college guy. It was so much fun. And now that it’s over, I feel like one of those kids who has just passed out of college and misses those days of frolic,” says Cheran.
An admirer of Vasanth’s work, it didn’t take much convincing for him to accept this movie. “He called me. We met. He told me he wanted me to act in his movie. I said OK. I didn’t even ask him what the part was. That’s the kind of respect I have for him,” reveals Cheran. As for sharing screen time with Arjun... “Well, I can’t tell you much about our characters. But off screen he is one of my favourite people in cinema. He is such a soft-spoken fun guy in reality, that it always surprises me when I see him play those angry, violent roles,” he laughs.
