In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that legendary Bollywood actor and Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for the Covid-19 Coronavirus. Big B took to his Twitter space last night (July 11) to share this important news with his fans, followers and well-wishers. This news has taken everyone by total shock and it has made a lot of people realise the severity of the virus. Amitabh tweeted, "T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !".

Leading celebrities and actors across the country including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dhanush, Mahesh Babu, Akshay Kumar, Madhavan, Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet Singh, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Preity Zinta, Genelia, cricketers Suresh Raina and Shoaib Akhtar have wished Big B, a speedy recovery and we also hope he returns back to normalcy very soon.

A few minutes after Amitabh's tweet, his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan also confirmed the news that he's been tested positive. He requested the fans not to panic and the situation is under control. He tweeted, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. 🙏🏽 The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them. 🙏🏽".

Both, Amitabh and Abhishek are currently getting treated at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai and it has been confirmed that both of them are in stable condition. Fortunately, Amitabh's wife Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been tested negative, however their swab test results are said to be awaited. They've been requested to be in isolation to stay safe and not contract the virus in any manner.

Earlier this morning, the Mumbai Corporation Frontline Workers reached Amitabh Bachchan’s residence to disinfect the place. This news is yet another example for showing that Coronavirus can infect anyone and no one is special.
