June 24 - TN COVID Update: 2865 New Cases | 33 New Deaths | Total - 67,468 Cases & 866 Deaths

It is that time of the day when the official number of the COVID-19 cases are released and June 24th has now seen the highest spike for 24 hours with 2800+ cases! The official numbers of COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus cases in Tamil Nadu are out and we have it for you. The last 24 hours show that Tamil Nadu has had 2865 new cases of COVID positive being reported, taking the overall total to 67,468! Of these, 1654 new cases have been identified in Chennai alone, taking the district's total to 45,693! Tiruvallur has recorded 87 new cases while Chengalpattu has registered 131 and Madurai 97!

There have been 33 new COVID related deaths in Tamil Nadu in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 866. As of now, Chennai is the biggest hotspot in the state and has 45,693 cases registered. The total number of active cases in entire Tamil Nadu, stands at 28,836 while the number of active cases in Chennai alone, stands at 18,673! The number of recoveries has been very good with the highest single day recoveries! There have been 2424 new recoveries and discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered people to 37,763. There have been 32,079 samples tested, in the past 24 hours alone, taking the total tests to 976,431!
