Leading Bollywood couple Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh are not expecting their third child, the couple has dismissed the rumors that have been doing the rounds on social media. After a video went viral over the weekend stating that she was pregnant, Genelia's husband Riteish has now dispelled the reports via an Instagram Story. Sharing a screenshot of a social media post that carried the query of whether Genelia was pregnant, Riteish responded and wrote, "I wouldn't mind having 2-3 more but unfortunately this is untrue." (sic)
Over the weekend, Genelia attended the launch of a brand at a gala event in Mumbai with Riteish and was seen wearing a purple mini-dress. Many had assumed that the actress was carrying a baby bump based on the footage that had gone viral on social networking forums. With many jumping to the conclusion that the couple is expecting their third baby soon, Riteish's clarification has put an end to the speculations. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012 in a grand wedding, are already parents to two sons - Riaan, nine, and Rahyl, seven.
Both Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh have starred together in films Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003), Masti (2004), Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), Lai Bhaari (2014), Mister Mummy (2022), and Ved (2023). The actress also ventured into film production over the years bankrolling two of her husband's ventures in Marathi - Mauli (2018) and Ved (2022). Genelia D'Souza, who is known best among Tamil cinema fans for her appearances in blockbusters like Sachein (2005), Velayutham (2011), Santosh Subramaniam (2008), and Uthamaputhiran (2010), to name a few, was last seen in the Hindi film Trial Period earlier this year.
