National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran's next big production venture, Anel Meley Pani Thuli, is gearing up for its release on November 18 and stars Andrea Jeremiah in the lead role, with the film’s much-awaited trailer now finally being unveiled. The upcoming film directed by debutant R. Kaiser Anand is skipping a theatrical release and will instead be premiering directly on the SonyLIV OTT platform. Vetri Maaran, who has previously produced films like Kaaka Muttai, Visaranai, and Kodi to name a few under his Grass Root Film Company banner in association with Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, is coming out with his Anel Meley Pani Thuli, which is the acclaimed director's latest production venture and is being presented by B4U and Ivy Entertainment.
The Anel Meley Pani Thuli trailer is intense right from the get-go and shows Andrea as a sexual assault victim, who is fighting the battle for honor and justice. The trailer starts off introducing Andrea's character traveling to another city, who then gets kidnapped and taken to a forest. The visuals are hard-hitting and dark and highlight the struggles that women everywhere face in society. The Anel Meley Pani Thuli trailer depicts the personal life of a sexual assault survivor and how she is viewed by the people around her, who expect her to not pursue a court case and instead proceed to lead a life like the shocking incident never ever happened to her.
Anel Meley Pani Thuli is yet another performance-driven role for Andrea based on the visuals of the film's trailer and looks to be on the lines of her commendable presentation of acting in films like Vishwaroopam, Taramani, and Vada Chennai to name a few in recent years. The film is the actress' second-time collaboration with Vetri Maaran after Vada Chennai in which she played the character Chandra under the filmmaker's direction. Apart from Andrea, Anel Meley Pani Thuli features a talented cast on board among whom are Aadhav Kannadhasan as the male lead, followed by Azhagam Perumal, Ilavarasu, Anupama Kumar, and Lovelyn Chandrasekhar in supporting roles. Likewise, the film also includes a stellar technical team with Santhosh Narayanan as the music and background score composer, while R Velraj has done the cinematography, and Raja Mohammed has taken care of the editing.
