Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah tests COVID positive & hospitalised!

India stands third in the world among the list of countries most affected by the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus! The intensity of the Virus only seems to be increasing with each passing day! In India, Maharashtra is the state most affected by the Corona Virus and is followed by Tamil Nadu & Delhi! However, in recent times, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are fast turning out to be registering staggering numbers of new COVID cases, every day! It was just a couple of days back that the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He became the second Chief Minister from India, following Madhya Pradesh's Shivraj Singh Chouhan to test positive and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah also recently tested positive, as did the Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit!
Earlier today, the former Karnataka Chief Minister and current leader of the Opposition in the state - senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah has also tested positive for the Corona Virus. The 71-year-old politician took to his Twitter handle to announce this news, himself! After experiencing fever and showing symptoms of the Virus, Siddaramaiah got admitted to the Manipal Hospitals to get himself checked, yesterday night! Unfortunately his COVID tests returned positive results and he is undergoing treatment for it! The Manipal Hospitals Chairman Sudarshan Ballal said that Siddaramaiah's antigen test for COVID-19 returned positive but also mentioned that currently stable and doing well! A multi-disciplinary team of doctors are monitoring the veteran politician.
Ever since Siddaramaiah's tweet of having tested positive for COVID came out, many top political leaders of Karnataka, irrespective of their political affiliations, have been sending across their wishes to him for a speedy recovery. Siddaramaiah's tweet also mentions that he has been admitted to the hospital as a precautionary measure by the doctors and requested all those who came into contact with him in recent times, to get themselves tested and quarantine themselves! The spread of this COVID-19 is becoming scary and it is highly advisable to follow all precautionary measures to safeguard ourselves from this deadly virus! We wish Siddaramaiah a speedy recovery and hope he gets back to good health soon!
