Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru is one of the highly expected films of this year and the fans are eagerly waiting for the d-day, to celebrate the film in the theatres. Directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame, Soorarai Pottru features Aparna Balamurali as the female lead and has music scored by G.V.Prakash Kumar. For the past few days, the makers were busily focussed on the post-production works of the film and we had also updated about it. As a pleasant surprise, the makers have now announced that the film completed its censor formalities and has been given a clean U certificate.

This news has made the fans totally excited and the whole social media is abuzz about it. By censoring the film, the makers have once again confirmed that the film will release only in theatres. Soorarai Pottru is expected to bring the audience back to the theatres after the pandemic and it is going to be quite exciting to see how the worldwide audience receives the film.

We will get to know about the film’s release date once the theatres are allowed to reopen after the pandemic. The film’s story is based on the real life events of Captain G.R.Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan. Suriya will be seen playing the character of Nedumaaran Rajangam aka Maara and the film will trace his life journey across different periods.
