Actor Prabhas' market across India shot up after the mammoth success of his Baahubali films and was last seen in the high-budget action flick, Saaho. The actor has since been cast in three big ventures, Radhe Shyam opposite Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo star Pooja Hegde under Radha Krishna Kumar's direction, followed by the tentatively titled Prabhas 21 with Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone under Mahanati director Nag Ashwin and finally the recently-announced Adipurush, which will see him face off Saif Ali Khan, who has been cast as the antagonist, with Om Raut serving as the director.

Among the upcoming films, Prabhas 21 has generated massive excitement among fans as it will see him sharing screen space opposite Deepika Padukone, who has garnered international popularity after starring in the XXX sequel with Vin Diesel. The film, as with other upcoming Prabhas ventures, is also a mega budget entertainer, being bankrolled by C Aswani Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. Having said that, the makers have now made a huge announcement stating that legendary director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has now joined the film. The iconic veteran has come on board the forthcoming Vyjayanthi Movies venture after the reputed production house recently celebrated its 50th year in the entertainment industry. Prabhas 21 will have the advantage of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's experience as the legend has worked with several notable top names in the country, with fans in Tamil Nadu remembering him most for directing the cult classic Kamal Haasan film, Michael Madana Kama Rajan. Recently, the veteran filmmaker had tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently undergoing treatment. With the Indian film icon on the road to recovery, it is expected he will join Prabhas 21 and share with the team his vast experience that will elevate the film a notch higher.

Initially, the production on Prabhas 21 was scheduled to begin in August, but has since been delayed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic crisis. There were reports a while back stating shooting for the film would likely begin in early 2021. Fans too expect a ripper of a film with Prabhas 21 from Vyjayanthi Movies considering they struck a jackpot with Mahanati, which was made in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam, starring Keerthy Suresh, that landed her the National Award for Best Actress last year. There is a lot riding on the forthcoming mega venture as it has already added some of the biggest names in the country.
