Legendary actor Nandamuri Balakrishna (aka) Balaiyya is celebrating his 61st birthday today (June 10) and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters. Balakrishna's fans have also been actively involved in several social welfare activities, helping the needy. Meanwhile, marking his birthday, his next project in Telugu cinema has now been announced and it has excited the fans. The project was announced through a special promo video which has now gone viral among the fans. The film is yet to be titled and it will be tentatively called - NBK 107. From what we see, it looks like NBK 107 will be an action-packed mass masala entertainer.

The film will be directed by Gopichand Malineni who recently tasted success with the Ravi Teja starrer Krack, co-starring Shruti Haasan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Gopichand Mallineni's other notable films in Telugu cinema include Don Seenu, Bodyguard, Balupu, Winner, etc. Krack was a big success at the box office and director Gopichand was praised for his packaging skills. It is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience, this time. Gopichand took to his official Twitter page to share his excitement about the collaboration, mentioning that he is eager to witness Balakrishna's action in the sets.

Gopichand tweeted, "Happy birthday to balaiah babu garu... eagerly waiting to meet you on sets soon sir.. to feel the roar in live.. #NBK107 @MythriOfficial @MusicThaman #HappyBirthdayNBK". This exciting film will be bankrolled by the leading Telugu film production house, Mythri Movie Makers. The current musical sensation, Thaman S will be composing music for NBK 107. The shooting of this film is expected to begin in the latter half of this year.

Apart from this newly announced film, Balaiyya also has a film titled Akhanda in his lineup. Akhanda is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu and it features Pragya Jaiswal as the femalle lead. Produced by Dwaraka Creations, Akhanda has music composed by Thaman S and cinematography handled by C Ram Prasad.
