Keerthy Suresh’s Penguin got released recently on Prime Video and it has opened to mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. Up next, the Mahanati actress has an exciting lineup of films including Annaatthe, Rang De, Miss India, and an untitled film with director Nagesh Kukunoor. She would be sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in Annaatthe and it is one of the highly anticipated films among the fans. Directed by Viswasam fame Siva and produced by Siva, Annaatthe features a stellar cast including Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, and others.
Having said that, Keerthy Suresh has now spilled the beans on her role and the film in one of her recent interviews. Talking to Bollywood Life, Keerthy Suresh said that her role holds great significance and the film deals about a sibling relationship. “The shoot of the film is pending. I don't think I can talk much about it right now because there's a long way to go. So, let's talk about this a little later. Yes, I'm playing the lead role...it's a lead role. The movie revolves around a sibling relationship and they are playing other characters in it.", Keerthy was quoted as saying.
According to reports in Kollywood, Keerthy Suresh would be seen playing the role of Rajinikanth’s sister and the film’s core emotion would rely on their relationship. With music by D Imman and cinematography by Vetri, Annaatthe is scheduled to hit the screens for next year's Pongal, but the plan is subject to change, if the pandemic situation doesn't get better.
