Kajal Aggarwal has begun shooting for her next film, Uma, from today (July 5). According to the latest reports, the shooting of the film kickstarted this morning and the shoot is expected to be finished in a single schedule. It is said that the shoot has been planned without any schedule breaks and that indeed gives the makers the opportunity to wrap up the film at a quick pace. While Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the lead role, Uma's star cast also includes the likes of Marsh Chhaya, Tinnu Anand, Gaurav Sharma, Meghana Malik, Shriswara, and Ayoshi Talukdar. Uma will be a feel-good slice of life drama that will be packed with some heartwarming emotions.

Reports suggest that Kajal Aggarwal would be playing a character that is similar to Mary Poppins. The project's pre-production works happened through Zoom calls due to the pandemic and Kajal is said to be quite excited about the film. Kajal, in one of her previous interviews, had told that Uma will be an important film for her and added that she is looking forward to starting shooting for the film. Produced by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal under the banner of Miraj Group, the film is directed by Tathagata Singha, who is a popular ad filmmaker. Details regarding the rest of the crew of Uma are yet to be known.

Kajal Aggarwal, who was last seen in the Telugu film, Mosagallu, has several interesting projects in her lineup. She plays one of the female leads in Hey Sinamika, which features Dulquer Salmaan and Aditi Rao Hydari as the other leads. Hey Sinamika is directed by popular dance choreographer, Brindha Master. She will also be seen as the female lead in Megastar Chiranjeevi's upcoming action drama, Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. Kajal has already completed the shoot and waiting for the release of Ghosty, which is a Tamil horror comedy, helmed by Kalyaan of Gulaebaghavali and Jackpot fame.
