Tragedy struck the South Indian film industry after a crane crashed on the sets of Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 late night on Wednesday (February 19th) at EVP Film City near Chennai. Following the incident, the producers of the film Lyca Productions confirmed the demise of three technicians Madhu (Production Assistant), Krishna (Assistant Director) and Chandran (Art Assistant). Reports suggest that 10 more people were injured and are currently undergoing treatment at a popular hospital in Chennai. Other members Kamal Haasan, Shankar and Kajal Aggarwal did not sustain any injuries. The unfortunate incident has left many in shock and celebrities around the country took to social media to send their condolences and support towards the family members of the demised souls.
