Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating his birthday today (July 28) and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters. The fans are making the day extra special with fan made posters, tribute videos, etc. The teaser of DQ’s next film, Kurup was released earlier today and it got a very good reception from the film buffs. Following that, Dulquer Salmaan’s next film has now been officially announced and an exciting project is on the cards. Dulquer Salmaan will be teaming up with director Hanu Raghavapudi of Padi Padi Leche Manasu (Sharwanand - Sai Pallavi starrer) fame.

This untitled film will be made in Telugu, marking Dulquer's return to Tollywood after the critically acclaimed Mahanati. The film will be released in Tamil and Malayalam as well. DQ will be seen playing the role of Lieutenant and his character will be called Ram. The concept look poster has been released and it looks very promising and classy. The poster sets the tone and theme of the movie. The poster also has a tagline that says, "Yuddham Tho Rasina Prema Katha”, which means (in Tamil) - “Ranuva Veeran Ram Poruttri Ezhudhiya Kadhal Kathai”.

This will be a period love story set (in 1964) against the war backdrop. This movie will have music scored by Vishal Chandrashekhar. Swapna Cinema will produce this mega biggie which will be presented by the iconic film company, Vyjayanthi Movies. Interestingly, Dulquer Salmaan, Swapna Cinema and Vyjayanthi Movies have worked together in Mahanati and the blockbuster combo is all set to reunite once again. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be known and we will update you about it in the coming days.

This project has excited the fans who are already looking forward to the film and the news has created a good buzz on social media. The shooting is expected to begin after the pandemic and also when DQ completes his current set of commitments. Dulquer’s last two films, Varane Avashyamund and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal have turned out to be successful, both critically and commercially and the talented actor would be keen on continuing the success streak with his next set of projects.
