Thalapathy Vijay is celebrating his birthday today (June 22) and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters for the star actor. The first look poster of his next film, Beast was released for the special day and it made this year's birthday even more special. Among the several film personalities who wished Vijay on his birthday, director Vamshi's birthday wish has grabbed the attention of the fans. It is a known fact that director Vamshi Paidipally is one of the frontrunners to helm Vijay's next outing after Beast, which will be Thalapathy 66. In a recent interview with a Telugu media house, director Vamshi confirmed that he will be directing Vijay's next film and also added that the announcement regarding the project would be made post the Covid-19 scenario. Vamshi's latest birthday wish tweet for Vijay has now added more authenticity to the duo's collaboration and the tweet has gone viral among the fans. Crossing over 10K retweets and 35K likes, this tweet indeed tells us that the fans are highly excited about Thalapathy 66 already.

If reports are to be believed, Thalapathy 66 will be a pan Indian project which will be bankrolled by ace Telugu producer, Dil Raju. The film's pre-production works are said to be happening in full swing. Vijay's last few films have performed exceedingly well in other states and it looks like Thalapathy 66 will be a new beginning for the star actor, on that aspect.

For the uninformed, Vamshi Paidipally is a prominent filmmaker in Telugu cinema who is known for directing blockbuster hit films like Brindavanam, Yevadu, Oopiri (Thozha in Tamil), and Maharshi. His last directorial venture, Maharshi (starring Mahesh Babu) won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
