Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister KP Anbazhagan has been admitted in a private hospital in Manapakkam in Chennai after testing positive for coronavirus. According to latest reports, Minister KP Anbazhagan had gone to the hospital on Wednesday where he had taken a CT scan. The results had come out clear after which he had undergone a COVID-19 test, which showed him to have tested positive and has since been put under the mild case category.
Minister KP Anbazhagan has been taking part in the state's efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak by being a part of the coronavirus control team and has been supervising the control measures in North Chennai. It is to be noted that the TN Minister for Higher Education had attended the meeting held on Wednesday at the Ripon Building to discuss the preventive and control measures for the novel coronavirus in Chennai city and the state. Ministers SP Velumani, D Jayakumar, R Kamaraj and C Vijayabaskar too had attended the meeting which also saw the presence of Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan, Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash, City Police Commissioner A K Vishwanathan and several other IAS officers.
