There have been many awards ceremonies which have been conducted by various institutions. There have been separate awards for people from movies, serials, radio channels and other internet platforms. However, just like all our other pioneering ventures, Galatta Media came up with the Galatta Nakshatra Awards, in 2018. This event was the very first time that achievers from the field of TV, radio and online platforms on the same stage. The second edition of this mega event was held on the 19th of October 2019 at the Anna Centenary Library and this ceremony turned out to become an even bigger success than the first edition. Many leading stars from different TV channels took the stage and the winners, chosen by the votes of the viewers, received their awards from even more illustrious presenters.


One of the star attraction of our event was the presence of Sangeetha Vijay who generally doesn't attend any award shows. Even Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar was present at the function.
