Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir is in the post-production stages and is gearing up for its theatrical release very soon. The makers had released the film's teaser, a few days before, and it received a very good response from the audience. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a Sri Lankan Tamil in this film and he has got a very unique and interesting character to portray in this film. The trailer gave us a glimpse of the film's main conflict and it showed promise. Following the positive response given to the teaser of the film, the makers have now released the first single song which is called 'Muruga'. As the title suggests, this is a devotional track dedicated to Lord Muruga and there are lines that are associated with him. The beats are energetic and have a traditional flavour to them.

The young and promising composer, Nivas K Prasanna has composed this song and the number sounds interesting. The highlight aspect of this song is the vocals which is lent by star actor Silambarasan TR. We know Simbu's skill as a singer and he can elevate any track to a higher level with his powerful rendition. 'Muruga' from Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir is no exception and the fans are surely going to love it. With Vijay Sethupathi's visual screen presence, the song is going to appeal really well in the theatres. The lyrics of 'Muruga' song is written by Mohan Rajan, while the rap lyrics is penned by MC SAI. The song has been released on the official YouTube channel of Saregama Tamil who has acquired the film's audio rights.

Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir is directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth, a former associate of director SP Jhananathan. The film's cinematography is handled by Vetrivel Mahendran of Kayal fame, while the editing and art direction is handled by John Abraham and K Veera Samar respectively. The film features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of director Magizh Thirumeni, Vivekh, director Mohan Raja, Bigg Boss fame Riythvika, Ragu Aditya, Kaniha, Karu Pazhaniappan, Chinni Jayanth, Vidya Pradeep, Imman Annachi, and others. Megha Akash plays the female lead and she will be paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi for the first time.
