A major USP right from the beginning for Master has been Anirudh and his songs with each track finding a place among the audience who have been showering laurels on the 'Rockstar' composer, who has delivered a thunderous album for the second time for Vijay after Kaththi in 2014. Shot over a period of 129 days, the upcoming film produced by Vijay's uncle, Xavier Britto, under the XB Film Creators banner, is touted to be a high octane action thriller and will see 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, whose casting has left fans everywhere excited.
The hype for Master had reached its peak recently post the release of the film's audio after which all sights were set on the trailer, which was expected to be released in the days ahead, but is yet to see the light of the day considering the Coronavirus disease has impacted life as we know drastically. Likewise, the film's theatrical release initially planned for April 9 looks less likely now with the passage of each day owing to the intensity of COVID - 19 across the world and how it has thrown normal life out of balance. Although it remains up to the makers to decide when to bring it out in theatres, the spirit among fans is high as ever, who are looking forward to announcements regarding the Master release date and the film's trailer.
Master will also see a huge ensemble star cast apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi among whom include Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead alongside Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, Nassar, 96 actress Gouri Kishan, Sanjeev, Srinath, Sriman, Nagendra Prasad, Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Ramesh Thilak, Prem, Azhagam Perumal, Chetan, Brigada Sagaya, Lintu Rony among others in major supporting roles.
