CS Amudhan is directing a political thriller titled Ratham starring Vijay Antony with Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, and Remya Nambeesan in important roles. The technical crew of the film comprises of Gopi Amarnath taking care of the cinematography, while TS Suresh is made in charge of the editing. Dhilip Subbarayan, who recently worked in Valimai, will be choreographing the stunts for the film. The film is backed by Kamal Bohra, Lalitha Dhananjayan, B. Pradeep & Pankaj Bohra of Infiniti Film Ventures.

The script of Ratham called for some scenes to be shot in Kolkata which went underway as soon as the schedule started. On March 26, Amudhan announced on social media that Vijay Antony has finally wrapped up the filming of his portions in this schedule. Sharing some pictures he wrote, "And we've wrapped the last day of shoot for Vijay Antony on the spectacular Howrah bridge in Kolkata. Nandri Nanba! Not including his picture to avoid prematurely revealing his look. We are nearing the end of the shoot for Ratham. Only Spain remains."

With that being said, the team has now wrapped up shooting the film in India. Marking this occasion, the crew celebrated the moment together in cheerfulness. The unit will be kick-starting one foreign schedule shortly. The team will soon be heading to Spain to start filming the final portions of the film. Once they are done with that, the film is expected to release soon in theatres. As of now, the entire filming in India has been completed and it touched the finish line yesterday (April 6).

Other than that, Vijay Antony has got a slew of projects like Khaki, Kolai, Thamezharasan, Pichaikkaran 2 and Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan lined up at different stages of production. The first look of his upcoming psychological murder mystery, Kolai, was unveiled yesterday and it looked epic.
