Vijay Antony is on the road to recovery after getting injured during the filming of his upcoming film, Pichaikkaran 2, at Langkawi, Malaysia. The composer turned actor's highly-anticipated sequel to the 2016 blockbuster, Pichaikkaran, has been announced to be coming out in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages in April, with the film's satellite and digital rights being acquired by Star Network. Being presented by Fatima Vijay Antony and produced under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, Vijay Antony has now announced that the first four minutes of Pichaikkaran 2 will be released as a sneak peek trailer on Friday, February 10 at 5 p.m., as a special treat for fans, and thus kicking off the film's promotions.

This special glimpse of Pichaikkaran 2 will present to fans the first visuals from the film, which is coming out in Telugu under the title Bichagadu 2, followed by Bhikshuka 2 in Kannada, while the Malayalam version is called Bhikshakkaran 2. Expectations for the film are massive ever since it was announced in 2020 and it now remains to be seen whether the story will kick off from the events of where Pichaikkaran had left off. It is to be noted that Pichaikkaran released in Telugu under the title Bichagadu went on to become one of the biggest box-office hits in the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana regions in 2016 and Vijay Antony will be hopeful that Pichaikkaran 2 goes on to become a bigger success.

Pichaikkaran 2 will incidentally mark Vijay Antony's directorial debut, who has also written the story and screenplay, with the slogan 'Anti-Bikili' creating a lot of curiosity among fans sometime back, which was later revealed to be the name of the antagonist in the film. Vijay Antony, on the other hand, had last week revealed on social media that he has made a 90% recovery after he sustained injuries on his nose, mouth and teeth during a song shoot in Malaysia when his boat had gone out of control.
