Vijay Antony's Pichaikkaran 2 has finally arrived in theatres worldwide starting today and the buzz for the action drama has been quite huge. The composer-turned-actor will be hopeful of the film's prospects in the days ahead considering it follows the 2016 blockbuster Pichaikkaran despite being a standalone venture. Vijay Antony, who made his directorial debut with Pichaikkaran 2, has now released the 'Kalloorum Poove' video song shot on him and the film's female lead Kavya Thapar, giving audiences a glimpse at a jet ski sequence at Langkawi, Malaysia.
The 'Kalloorum Poove' video song in Pichaikkaran 2 shows Vijay Antony and Kavya Thapar on-location filming, with the actor revealing that the injuries he sustained in the accident were moments before the last shot in the jet ski sequence. The visuals show the lead pair romancing on a luxury boat before the duo head to the pristine Malaysian sea where they are seen speeding on a jet ski. Composed by Vijay Antony, 'Kalloorum Poove' in Pichaikkaran 2 is a romantic number and has been sung by Sarath Santhosh and Madhu Sree to the lyrics penned by Arun Bharathi.
Recently, Vijay Antony, in an exclusive interview with Galatta, went on to explain the extent of his injuries due to the jet ski accident in Malaysia. He said, "My nose went inside and my jaw dropped down. I fell unconscious into the sea and went underwater. Had I been conscious, I could have moved my hands and legs around and since I was unconscious, my body went underwater and came back to the surface on its own. The film's assistant cameraman, heroine, and others pulled me up from the water and saved me. One of my eyes also got scratched as a result. A day after all this happened, I opened my eyes. I turned around to look at everyone watching me worried and I then gave them assurance to not panic. I was under the belief that the accident wasn't anything big and was reassuring everyone there. Only when I saw the mirror later, I realized how much had happened. Even now if you look, my jaw has gone inside. There are a few discomforts when I speak. There are around 8-9 plates on my face, but all that is nothing. My mind feels good."
