According to reports, Lalitha was unwell for the last few weeks after which she was declared dead yesterday night. Lalitha is a legendary actress who has played a variety of roles with conviction and has managed to keep us glued with her performance. Her demise is an unfortunate loss and we may not see another actor of her stature in the coming years.

Lalitha made her acting debut with KS Sethumadhavan's Koottukudumbam. In 1978, she married acclaimed filmmaker Bharathan who died in 1998. KPAC Lalitha is survived by her two children - a son named Sidharth Bharathan and a daughter named Sreekutty.
