After following strict lockdown for the past 45 days, a minimal relaxation was made in certain places of the country and it included the reopening of wine shops. Humongous crowd turned up to buy liquor and social distancing went for a toss at many places. This also created a panic among the people as the crowding paved the way for possibilities of Coronavirus spread. At the same time, in a light hearted manner, a few videos and pictures of people queuing up to buy liquor were funny as well. Talking about it, director Venkat Prabhu took to his Twitter space to share a tweet.
He mentioned that he doesn't have any stock at home and it's been quite a long time since he had some wine. The Mankatha director also emphasized that safety comes first than anything else. He tweeted, "Looking at the videos guess all wine shops started serving #corona from today!! I am sure lotta people will start saying that I have stock and what will poor people do blah blah blah!!! Btw Ennakum stock theendhu pala naal aachu!! Safety mukiyam!! #staysafe".
On the work front, Venkat Prabhu is currently directing Maanaadu, an exciting political drama starring STR in the lead role. S.J.Surya will be seen as the antagonist in this film that will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Apart from Maanaadu, the talented director has already finished one film (Party) and one web series which are waiting for the right time to release. His web series, which features Kajal Aggarwal, Vaibhav and Kayal Anandhi in the lead roles, is expected to stream on Hotstar platform soon. Check out his tweet below:
