'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu has opened in cinemas worldwide and fans of the Tamil superstar have been in high spirits carrying celebrations everywhere. The family entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally has been produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and features chart-topping music composed by Thaman. S, with Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios is presenting the film in Tamil Nadu. Varisu has taken a phenomenal opening and the early reports indicate a largely positive response among fans, with director Vamshi and producer Dil Raju now celebrating the success with Vijay.
The social media handles of Sri Venkateswara Creations posted a photo of Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju's meeting with Vijay shortly after the release of Varisu earlier in the day declaring the celebrations have begun. In the picture, we see the filmmaker and producer duo present a bouquet of flowers to Vijay at his residence in Chennai on Wednesday, January 11, hours after the release of Varisu. Likewise, Vamshi too took to his Twitter page to extend his gratitude to fans for their strong support and also shared a photo in which he can be seen hugging Vijay, while also thanking the Tamil superstar for his trust in him and the film.
Varisu marks Vijay's comeback to a full-fledged lighthearted role after many years considering he's been seen predominantly in action films for quite some time. The film has him paired with national sensation Rashmika Mandanna, while the supporting cast features the likes of R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sriman, VTV Ganesan, John Vijay, Bharath Reddy, Sanjana, including SJ Suryah appearing in a crucial cameo. There are high hopes that Varisu will create new box office records along the lines of each Vijay-starrer over the years and it now remains to be seen what the final outcome is in the days ahead.
