Actor Bose Venkat had established himself as a household name across Tamil Nadu after taking up starring roles in several television soap operas and serials before going on to appear in supporting roles in Sivaji, Saroja, Singam, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru while also playing an antagonist in Kavan. Apart from being an actor, Bose Venkat ventured into direction earlier this year with the family social drama film, Kanni Maadam, which shed light on topics like casteism and honor killings. Now, it has been officially announced that Bose Venkat will start his second directorial and will star Uriyadi actor and director Vijay Kumar in the lead role under MP Mahendran and R. Balakumar's Move On Films banner, which incidentally is their first production venture.
The film will roll into production in the days ahead with the plot set around village cricket and will delve into social discrimination visible in basic commodities such as water. Set to be shot in locations across Karaikudi and Pudhukottai, it has been revealed that the upcoming venture will not be made in a preachy manner, but will appeal to audiences of all ages.
