The evergreen Trisha has been in the industry for nearly twenty years but still looks as gorgeous as when she made her debut and has if possible, only grown younger and more beautiful than ever! Her last release as a lead - 96, turned out to become a cult hit and her latest appearance was in an extended cameo in Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta, which also earned her rave reviews. Trisha has a huge lineup of movies in hand, some of which have been completed but are waiting to see the light of the day. However, undeterred and determined, Trisha has been working on her other projects and has many movies in various stages of production. We now have an exciting update on one of her projects!
Raangi, a heroine-centric movie with Trisha in the lead, is being directed by M Saravanan of Engeyum Eppodhum fame. The director, who last had a release with the Kannada movie Chakravyuha in 2016, is aiming to get back with a bang through this action thriller. Financed by Lyca Productions, Raangi is in the final stages of filming with just five days of shoot left. Talking about this, director Saravanan states that just five days of shoot is pending and that the unit have begun the post-production work from today. Interestingly, the story for this movie has been penned by AR Murugadoss, who is himself busy with his directorial venture Darbar, starring Rajini in the lead.
Raangi's music is being composed by C Sathya, with Shakthi handling the cinematography and M Subarak taking care of the editing. There are also reports that Mollywood actress Anaswara Rajan is making her Tamil Cinema debut with Raangi. This movie was in the news when the first and second looks were released as it had a very intense Trisha with rage in her eyes, being arrested by a foreign Police and also had her with a gun in hand. The unit completed its last schedule in Uzbekistan, where some important sequences were canned. Stay tuned for further updates...
