T Rajhendar is known for his fiery and controversial statements. Recently, TR and his team won the Film Distributors Association elections, taking all the prime positions, with TR becoming the President. Recently, TR and his team addressed the media and responded to the queries in his usual data-style. There was a question regarding the high ticket pricing for the first day shows of Superstar Rajinikanth's Darbar. Responding to this query, TR gave a rather interesting explanation.

TR stated that leading stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Ajith have worked hard to maintain their stardom and that it is natural for them to attract ticket prices around Rs. 1000/- or Rs. 1500/- for their opening day shows. He stated that the theatres should not have the same ticket pricing for the other stars and that the prices should be lowered. Also, he mentioned that despite Baahubali being a huge movie which was made on a big budget, the ticket pricing was normal and the movie went on to make crores at the Box Office.

Further talking about the high ticket prices for the leading stars' movies, TR said that top stars are like luxury 5-star hotels and that not everybody would be able to afford them. He asked that the ticket prices for other stars should be lowered, like the normal hotel prices, so that everybody would be able to go to the theatres and watch movies. TR went on to talk about a lot of other things, including his own upcoming movie.
