Every single industry across the globe has been affected badly by the Corona pandemic, the situation in some of the countries like the USA and India are getting worse by the day. This is definitely not the time for movies. Theatres across the globe have to be shut until this deadly virus has been vanquished. The makers of all the films have been postponing their films to a later date. Tom Cruises Top Gun sequel is one of the most expected films of 2020. The film was supposed to hit the screens in the month of July but has now been postponed to Christmas (December) 2020. Tom Cruise took to his Twitter space to confirm this - “I know many of you have waited 34 years. Unfortunately, it will be a little longer. Top Gun: Maverick will fly this December. Stay safe, everyone.”
Top Gun: Maverick is directed by Joseph Kosinski, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie and David Ellison, and written by Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and McQuarrie. It is the sequel to 1986's Top Gun and stars Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer. Cruise and Kilmer reprise their roles from the first film. Top Gun: Maverick is now scheduled to be released on December 23, 2020, by Paramount Pictures.
