With our entire nation being under lockdown from March 25th, the movement of people has been restricted. People are being asked to stay inside their houses to 'Break the Chain' and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic. The numbers of people being infected and also losing their lives to this deadly Virus have only been going up across different states but there are still a lot of people out there, who are not taking the situation seriously! Some people still believe that they are immortal and stupid enough to believe this to be a holiday period and are happily roaming about, outdoors! However, the Police are not letting these people go easily and are doing their best to curb such unwanted movement of people!
The Tamil Nadu Police Department has released details of the Lockdown violations in the state! There are a staggering number of 2,71,389 people who have been arrested by the Police for violating Lockdown rules! Over 2,27,325 vehicles have been seized by the Police and over 2,55,538 cases have been filed with regards to violating lockdown and quarantine rules! The fine amount collected by the Police from Lockdown violators, stands at a whopping Rs. 1,46,66,994! Despite all this happening on one hand, the Public need to support the authorities by following the guidelines being put out for them! It is for our own safety that we should stay at home! Stay home, stay safe!
