'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo wrapped up filming in Kashmir on Thursday, March 23, and the cast and crew is en route to Chennai. Being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner, the upcoming film touted to be a mass action thriller will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander and the makers are leaving no stone unturned in putting the word out to the masses about the film, which is slated to open in cinemas worldwide on October 19 for Ayudha pooja. In that light, a special video showing Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the complete cast and crew of Leo battling the bitter cold and the tough climactic conditions in Kashmir has now been released on the Sun TV YouTube channel.
The new Leo team's 7-minute video gives us an extensive glimpse at the cold in Kashmir and how the cast and crew wake up as early as 4 a.m. for filming, with many people in the team narrating their experiences of shooting under completely new and hard conditions where they have to challenge themselves physically to achieve the final output. There are also moments where we see every single person in the crew being put to test in freezing conditions where its nearly impossible to wash hands, with military personnel giving support to the team during the shooting. The Leo team also narrate how its tough to operate drones for filming since its too foggy, with the crew explaining how the equipment were short circuited on a few occasions.
The Leo featurette concludes with the team explaining how it has been fruitful overall despite battling the difficult conditions where they had to film and Vijay too is seen interacting with the crew and the locals in Kashmir. Lokesh Kanagaraj is seen extensively coordinating alongside the crew at every juncture, with cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, the stunt choreographer duo Anbariv, and many others working hard on the sets. This latest video of the Leo crew battling the icy-cold conditions in Kashmir is undoubtedly inspiring and shows us how much hard work every single person in the team has put in to bring out the best for the film.
