Thanne Vandi is an upcoming romantic comedy film starring Umapathy Ramaiah and Samskruthy in the lead roles. Notably, Umapathy Ramaiah is the son of popular comedian-actor Thambi Ramaiah and the actor made his debut in the film Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay and also went to play the lead in Maniyaar Kudumbam. The other lead Samskruthy is popular from her role in the film Vil Ambu. The film also features names like Thambi Ramaiah, Ashwathi, Devadarshini, Bala Saravanan and Vidyulekha playing important roles as well.
Thanne Vandi is written and directed by Manika Vidya on his debut and the film is produced by G Saravana under the banner of Sri Saravana Film Arts. Music for the film is composed by Moses. The songs for the film are penned by Mohanraj, Kavingnar Sarathi and Kathir Mozhi. The cinematography is handled by SN Venkatesh and editing is done by AL Ramesh.
Thanne Vandi showcases the battle of wits between Umapathy and a District Revenue Officer (DRO) played by newcomer Ashwathi. Ashwathi's character has a secret life and how the paths of Umapathy, Bala Saravanan, and Samskruthy collide with the DRO is the central plot of the film.
