'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast is set to take a sensational opening in theatres worldwide from April 13, with the advance bookings in cinema halls witnessing a huge demand for tickets from fans. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar under the Sun Pictures banner and featuring Anirudh Ravichander's music, promotions for the upcoming mass action thriller are in full swing, with the makers releasing new promos, which have been receiving a massive response. In that light, a special interview for the promotions of Beast was telecast with Vijay and the film's director Nelson on Sunday evening, which has been the talk of the town. It is to be noted that this is the first television interview for Vijay in nearly a decade and fans have since been gushing on social media over his interaction with Nelson.
During the interview, Nelson goes on to talk about the time when Vijay had obliged for a car drive with the Beast team in the midst of the shooting as a special treat for co-actor Aparna Das, who is playing a crucial role in the film. Nelson asks Vijay about his experience during the drive with the team which included the film's heroine Pooja Hegde, choreographer-actor Sathish Krishnan, and cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa. Upon being asked about his time with the gang, Vijay surprises him with his reply saying, "The petrol had gone waste during the drive." When Nelson prods the superstar, Vijay assures him that he was only kidding and states that he had a great time with all of them.
