It came as a massive surprise when it was officially revealed that ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi had been cast in the upcoming biggie, Thalapathy 64, alongside Vijay in the lead role under Maanagaram and Kaithi fame Lokesh Kanagaraj’s direction. Announced to come out as a summer 2020 release, Vijay Sethupathi is yet to begin filming for Thalapathy 64. Having said that, the Kalaimamani Award-winning actor has now been announced to be playing a powerful role in the Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh starrer, Oh My Kadavule. Apart from Thalapathy 64 and Oh My Kadavule, Vijay Sethupathi also has in his kitty films namely Sanga Thamizhan announced for a release in November followed by Seenu Ramasamy’s Maamanithan and the long-delayed, Idam Porul Yaeval, Laabam opposite Shruti Haasan, Ka Pae Ranasingam alongside Aishwarya Rajesh, Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan’s Kadaisi Vivasayi and his second Telugu film titled, Uppena. Being directed by newbie Ashwath Marimuthu, Oh My Kadavule also includes popular television actress Vani Bhojan being cast as another female lead with Sha Ra and MS Baaskar in important roles. Axess Film Factory and Happy High Pictures are jointly producing the romantic comedy, which has music by Leon James while Meyaadha Maan fame Vidhu Ayyanna is handling cinematography.
