Taapsee Pannu is one of the busiest actors in the country who has earned a name for herself in Hindi cinema. Taapsee's last five films, Badla, Game Over, Mission Mangal, Saand Ki Aankh, Thappad, have turned out to be good hits at the box office and also earned good reviews for her performance. She has an exciting line up of films and one among those happens to be Rashmi Rocket, a sports drama. This film is written by Tamil director Nandha Periyasamy (of Oru Kalluriyin Kathai and Vanna Jigina fame) and directed by Akarsh Khurana of Karwaan fame.
According to reports, Taapsee will be portraying the role of a young village girl who is an incredibly fast runner. The story will deal with her journey in showcasing her talent on the professional grounds. Taapsee's makeover for the character looks very interesting and the pictures have been doing good rounds on social media. Taapsee is known as a strong performer and Rashmi Rocket seems to be an important project in her filmography. It has now been officially announced that the filming of Rashmi Rocket will begin in the month of November.
The film's producer Ronnie Screwvala made the announcement on his official Twitter page. However, the exact shoot plans are yet to be revealed and we can expect updates about it in the coming days. Taapsee is all excited to resume shooting and had something interesting to say about the project.
Talking to Times Of India, Taapsee was quoted as saying, "I have been involved in this project from the very inception stage so that makes this one really special. Just before the pandemic I was already 3 months into my training period to transform into a physique closest to that of a sprinter. This has been a long break but with the kind of subject it is I am excited to restart the journey from scratch again starting with my training".
Produced by Ronnie Crewvala in association with Pranjal Khandhdiya and Neha Anand, Rashmi Rocket will have music composed by Amit Trivedi. Extraction fame Priyanshu Painyuli will share screen space with Taapsee in this sports drama. Apart from Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee has films like Haseen Dillruba and Shabash Mithu which are in different stages of production. Taapsee will also be seen as the female lead in Jayam Ravi's next film, Jana Gana Mana, directed by I Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame.
