American actress Brittany Daniel and her husband Adam Touni have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. According to PEOPLE, the couple have named the newborn Hope Rose Touni, who was delivered through a surrogate on Sunday, October 24. Daniel and Touni revealed their daughter was born at 7:11 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long. A spokesperson for the couple informed PEOPLE that they are "overcome with joy and a peace they've never known."
Sharing the joyous news along with a picture with Brittany Daniel and their daughter on Instagram, Adam Touni wrote, "Our daughter, Hope Rose Touni, arrived three weeks early (but right on time) on Oct. 24, 2021 at 7:11 AM. She weighed 7 lbs, 3 ounces. 20 inches long. Just perfect. Hope is the living embodiment of a multi-year journey for my wife, @iambdaniel, and I to bring life into this world toghether. The lessons we learned through this journey have enabled us to be Hope’s parents. Welcome to the world Hope. This world has been waiting for you. This is just the beginning. Brittany Daniel and Adam Touni tied the knot in 2017 and shared the news of their pregnancy first to PEOPLE back in August. Daniel, who is set to reprise her role in the Paramount+ revival of The Game said, "We are over the moon at the thought of being parents. This has been a long time coming and we are very much looking forward to holding our baby in our arms." She added, "I am looking forward to being able to impart unconditional love, wisdom and life lessons. We can't wait for the ability to show our first child the world."
Debuting on the big screen in the 1995 film The Basketball Diaries, Brittany Daniel shot to popularity along with her identical twin sister Cynthia on the teen drama Sweet Valley High. She has also appeared in the Joe Dirt films, including being a part of the main cast of That '80s Show and landed a recurring role in Dawson's Creek. Daniel was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2012 and underwent chemotherapy before becoming cancer-free in 2014.
