Suriya's next big film, Kanguva, is progressing at a steady pace under blockbuster filmmaker Siva's direction. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green and Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations banners and featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad, a motion poster and the title announcement promo for the upcoming film has already released, both of which received a rousing response. With Gnanavel Raja sometime back revealing that the much-awaited Kanguva teaser will be released in June, popular Tamil films producer-distributor Dr. Dhananjayan Govind recently sat down with Galatta to share more new details with Suriya's fans.
Regarding a promo shoot being done for Suriya's Kanguva with body builders some time back, producer Dhananjayan stated, "It's been completed. The team is waiting for the right time to release it. Gnanavel sir said that the time for its release will come and he will let us know. It has come out superbly. He's saying it'll be released at the correct time. And, everything will be revealed in it." Talking further about the Kanguva teaser, he added, "Initially, we had planned to release the film in October/November. And, accordingly, we planned to launch the promo. Since that is getting a little delayed, there's no use releasing it much earlier. And, that is why he has told that we will wait for some more time."
Kanguva will see Suriya paired with Disha Patani, who is making her Tamil cinema debut, and it is undoubtedly a grand launchpad for the Bollywood sensation. Announced to be coming out next year, the film will be released in 3D in 10 languages, and fans are looking forward to witness the grand spectacle that awaits them in cinemas. Suriya, who won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in 2020's Soorarai Pottru, will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders with Kanguva, while director Siva will aim to hit the high note as well after his Annaatthe received mixed reviews despite turning out to be a huge financial success.
