Suriya has taken his fans and film buffs by surprise with his latest tweet which has garnered huge attention. Suriya has released a new picture from the sets of his next film, Suriya 40, which is directed by Pandiraj. The shooting of Suriya 40 began towards the end of February and director Pandiraj shot the sequences that don't involve Suriya for the first few days. After completely recovering from Covid 19, Suriya has now joined the sets of the film and has begun shooting for the film. In the picture shared by Suriya, we see him holding a pistol gun pointing at someone and the picture creates good curiosity. However, we only get to see him in silhouette.

The makers haven't revealed the face and it looks like Suriya's makeover is going to be a suspense until the film's release. Sharing the glimpse picture from the film, Suriya wrote, "Feels good to be back on sets! @pandiraj_dir @RathnaveluDop @immancomposer @sunpictures @AntonyLRuben @jacki_art @anbariv #Suriya40". The film's cinematographer Rathnavelu was all praise for Suriya and the energy that he brings in with his acting.

Cinematographer Rathnavelu (aka) Randy's tweet read, "Your presence gives so much of energy to the team @Suriya_offl brother !! Happy to collaborate with you after Varanam Aayiram". Suriya 40 is produced by Sun Pictures and has music scored by D Imman. Director Pandiraj is known for his rural family entertainers and Suriya 40 is also expected to strike big at the box office. It has been quite some time since we saw Suriya in an out and out rural family drama and it is going to be exciting to see him in that backdrop again. The ace actor, who is riding high on the massive success of his last film, Soorarai Pottru, will want to continue the success momentum with this film, as well. Suriya 40's editing is handled by Ruben, while the stunt choreography is done by Anbariv.

The film features the young and happening Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and the fans are eagerly looking forward to her scenes with Suriya. The film's star cast also includes Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Ilavarasu, Subbu Panchu, Tiger Thangadurai, Vada Chennai fame Saran Shakthi, Master fame Cibi, Varmaa fame Akash Premkumar, Dhivya Dhuraisamy, and others.
