Suriya's Jai Bhim will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video and this will be his next feature film after Soorarai Pottru. The official announcement regarding the film's release plans was made this morning (August 5) on social media and it has made the fans super excited. As there is no clarity regarding the reopening of theatres due to the Covid 19 situation, it looks like Suriya has taken the decision to release his film on the OTT platform. Jai Bhim will release on Amazon Prime Video in November and this announcement has made the fans eagerly look forward to the film. We will have to wait for a few more weeks for the official announcement on the film's exact release date.
Jai Bhim will feature Suriya playing the role of an advocate who fights for the justice of a tribal woman and the film is based on a real-life incident. Jai Bhim, directed by Tha Se Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruthan fame, is expected to showcase Suriya in a completely different dimension. Produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, the film has music composed by Sean Roldan. SR Kathir has handled the cinematography, while the editing and art direction departments are headed by Philomin Raj and Kadhir respectively.
Jai Bhim features Karnan fame Rajisha Vijayan in an important role, alongside Suriya, while Prakash Raj, Manikandan, Lijomol Jose (Sivappu Manjal Pachai fame) play the lead roles. Jai Bhim is said to carry a very important message and when you have a star like Suriya headlining the project, the reach of the message will be wider. Meanwhile, Suriya is all geared up for the release of his next, Navarasa which will be out on Netflix tomorrow (August 6). Suriya plays the lead role in the segment directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and it is titled Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru.
