National Award-winning Tamil actor Suriya's next film, the tentatively titled Suriya 42, is being made on a grand scale and has begun its next leg of filming in Chennai after wrapping up a big schedule in Goa sometime back. Being directed by blockbuster filmmaker Siva under the joint collaboration of K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green banner in association with Vamsi-Pramod of UV Creations, the Suriya 42 team on Monday, November 28, celebrated actor-comedian Yogi Babu’s 19th year in Tamil cinema, who expressed his gratitude to directors Subramaniam Shiva, Ameer, Ram Bhala, Sundar C, among many others who over the course of his illustrious career have played a big role in his growth in the industry.
Sharing a photo from the cake-cutting ceremony at the Suriya 42 sets, Yogi Babu, who is seen alongside director Siva, also thanked the technicians and the workers in Tamil cinema. He tweeted, "Thank you all Tamil cinema ð¥ directorð¤ for making it special My 19th year preciousð journey of Tamil cinema ð¥ Thanks to all director, technician,lightman,all the workers' of Tamil cinema Thanks to my fansð& supporters have encouraging âºï¸me." Suriya 42 is the second time Yogi Babu has boarded a Suriya venture after Thaanaa Serndha Koottam in 2018 and fans expect the comedy star to deliver the laughs once again. Below is his tweet:
Currently one of the biggest projects in production, Suriya 42 has been announced to be coming out as a pan-Indian film in 10 languages and will feature music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film will see Bollywood sensation Disha Patani making her Tamil cinema debut, with the actress also shooting for a major portion of the first schedule in Goa. The motion poster for Suriya 42 announcing the film's launch left many intrigued and has received massive feedback after it revealed warriors of different clans that included 'Arathar', 'Venkaater', 'Mandaankar', 'Mukaatar', and 'Perumaanathar'.
