‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Jailer has created a huge excitement among fans and movie buffs, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has a huge cast that includes Malayalam star Mohanlal, Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar, Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, Tollywood actor Sunil, Ramya Krishann, Yogi Babu, Tamannaah, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, and others. The audio launch event of the film took place on a grand scale in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on July 28. One of the most looked-forward-to parts of the event is ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s speech during the audio launch. The makers of the film Sun Picture have now revealed the full speech of actor Rajinikanth on their YouTube channel after the telecast of the event on television on August 7. Here are some of the key moments from the over-one-hour-long speech:
Jailer Villain:
Actor Rajinikanth began his speech by greeting everyone present: cast and crew members, media, and fans. The actor then said it's been three years since the release of the film and said the gap between Annatthe and Jailer was because he did not get the right script. The actor said one of the producers of Sun Pictures had introduced Nelson and said he had a story. He then shared a hilarious story that happened on the day of story narration and candidly shared that he had developed the story well after some time. He then shared that they first spoke to one of Rajinikanth's friends from the industry and asked him if he would play the villain role. As they thought they would have to compromise the character if that star had played the role, Vinayakan was then signed up.

'Superstar' Rajinikanth said that he was informed that beast reports were moderated and said, "A good director will not fail. The subject who takes it will fail." As they announced the project then, he thought about how it would impact Nelson's career and asked the producers about the film. He then said the producers of the film, Sun Pictures, had said, "Reviews and reports are moderate, but distributors and producer are seeing good profit, so we don't have any objection." He then shared a hilarious incident in which Nelson asked about his romantic life during the first day of the shooting.
Jailer shooting:
‘Superstar' Rajinikanth then shared insights about how Nelson directs, saying he is like Hitler in direction. He shared Yogi Babu’s reaction to a scene and said that during a scene with Ramya Krishnan, it took over eight retakes to get what Nelson wants. He also spoke about the dark humour element that's the Jailer director’s trademark. He then spoke about how the budget for the film increased. He also spoke about Anirudh and his music in the film. He then also spoke about the Kaavalaa shooting and about how he kept waiting for the call for shooting, but finally, he had only two shots with Tamannaah.
Superstar title:
The actor then said the Hukum song is for fans and revealed he did not want the superstar word in the song, and he asked them to change it. He then revealed a story that he did not want the superstar tag in 1970, and some said he was scared. He said he was not afraid, but it out of respect because actor Shivaji Ganesan who acted as a hero then, and Kamal Haasan was also at his peak in 70's.
