Popular Tamil film producer SK Krishnakanth passed away during the late hours of September 30 and his demise has come as shocking news for the actors and technicians in the industry. Krishnakanth died due to a heart attack and the final rites are said to happen this evening (Oct 1) in Chennai. Krishnakanth produced films under the banner of Indian Theatre Production and some of his notable works include Chiyaan Vikram’s King, STRs’ Manmadhan and Dhanush’s Pudhukottaiyil Irundhu Saravanan and Thiruda Thirudi. A lot of notable celebrities from the industry are sharing their condolence messages on social media.
Having said that, Simbu has now officially released a statement regarding Krishnakanth’s demise. Through this statement, STR talked about his sweet relationship with producer Krishnakanth and recollected the beautiful moments the duo shared. He said, “We have been losing a lot of good people. Manmadhan, as a film, has given me a lot of memorable moments and experiences. Krishnakanth was a person who had immense love for me. He believed in me and asked me to direct Manmadhan. He motivated me to write and direct Manmadhan and was also concerned about my personal developments in life. His demise has come as a shocker for me. I am heartbroken. My deepest condolences to his family. Let his soul rest in peace,”.
On the work front, Simbu is gearing up to resume shooting for his next, Maanaadu, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. Maanaadu has got high expectations among the fans and it is expected to bring Simbu back to form. The VTV actor will be seen playing the role of Abdul Khaaliq, a politician and he will be seen sharing screen space with actors like Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, SJ Surya, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja and others.
Simbu will also be seen playing an extended cameo in Hansika’s 50th film, Maha, directed by UR Jameel. Director Mysskin has also confirmed that he would be teaming up with STR next year for a new film and the fans are looking forward to their collaboration. Simbu is definitely having a lot of interesting projects in his pipeline.
