Maanaadu is easily one of the most-awaited films in recent times as it features a flamboyant Simbu, with the teaser released in February leaving many contemplating it to be revolving around the concept of time travel. In the meantime, director Venkat Prabhu on Twitter Spaces interacted with a few fans and shared his answers to their queries, while informing that Maanaadu has shaped up well and that the team has tried to do something new. Speaking about comparisons with director Christopher Nolan's Tenet, Venkat Prabhu stated that there is no connection with the Hollywood blockbuster and that they have tried to do a new genre with Maanaadu. He further added that the film will be getting a bigger reach with Silambarasan as it being made on a grand scale and would probably not have happened had it been made with his frequent collaborators like Jai or Shiva.
