SJ Suryah has signed a new Tamil film titled Kadamaiyai Sei and the film was officially launched this morning (February 1) in Chennai. SJ Suryah will be sharing screen space with the hot and happening Yaashika Aanand who rose to fame through Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu and Bigg Boss Tamil: Season 2. Kadamaiyai Sei will be directed by Venkat Raghavan who earlier made the comedy drama, Muthina Kathirikkai that starred Sundar C and Poonam Bajwa in the lead roles. The film will be produced by Nahaar Films, in association with Ganesh Entertainment. Apart from SJ Surya and Yaashika Aanand, the film also features Motta Rajendran, Charles Vinoth, Vincent Asokan, Rajasimman, Seshu, and others in important roles.

On the technical side, Kadamaiyai Sei will be shot by cinematographer Vinoth Rathnasamy, while the editing and art direction departments would be headed by NB Srikanth and MG Murugan respectively. Thadam fame Arun Raj has been signed onboard to compose music for the film. Pradeep Dinesh will be taking care of the stunt choreography. The makers have planned to shoot the entire film in a single schedule from start to finish and it has been planned as a quickie. It looks like an interesting project is on the cards. SJ Surya will be seen playing the antagonist in Silambarasan TR’s highly anticipated political drama, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

SJ Surya will be seen playing the role of a police officer in the film. The fans are eagerly looking forward to the combination scenes of Simbu and SJ Surya which is touted to be the main highlight of the film. As a lead hero, SJ Surya’s next film will be Bommai which is directed by Radhamohan of Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum fame. Bommai features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and she will be seen sharing screen space with SJ Surya for the second time after the success of Monster.

The film is currently in the final leg of post production and if things progress as per plan, we may expect the film to release in theatres during the summer holidays. SJ Surya is also rumoured to be a part of Sivakarthikeyan’s Don which was recently announced. Don is a youthful comedy entertainer which is to be directed by debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi.
