Announced to be coming out as a Pongal 2021 treat, Simbu's fans will now begin their preparations for the Eeswaran teaser celebrations, considering Diwali is less than 10 days away. The film is also the third-time reunion for STR with composer S. Thaman, who previously churned out hit tunes in films namely Osthe and Vaalu. Eeswaran will see the flamboyant actor romancing Nidhhi Agerwal from the upcoming Jayam Ravi starrer Bhoomi, while veteran director Bharathiraja, actress Nandita Swetha and Bala Saravanan have been cast in important supporting roles. The film also includes S Thirunavukkarasu handling the cinematography, while Anthony has come on board as the editor and Rajeevan is the art director.
With Eeswaran now wrapped, Simbu will be heading next to resume filming his portions on director Venkat Prabhu's mass masala political entertainer, Maanaadu, in the next few days. The actor is also expected to recommence the remake of the Kannada film Mufti and will be seen in an extended cameo appearance in Maha, which wrapped up its production last week.
